Scott Credit Union is member owned, member operated, and a not-for-profit organization. Any revenue generated after expenses and reserves are met is given back to the members in the form of better rates and more services. Therefore, having your accounts with Scott Credit Union can save you some money. We offer similar products and services to what the conventional financial institutions have, but we do so with our members’ best interest in mind.
Part of the credit union difference is living the philosophy of “people helping people”. As experts in the financial industry, it is our job to help you understand the basics of money management and give you the tools you need to succeed in your personal finances. Therefore we also offer a variety of free financial education programs, including school programs, online member seminars, lunch and learns and a speaker’s bureau trained to educate on a variety of topics.

I am a nurse practitioner with over fifteen years of clinical experience. I am the director of Arya Medical Spa and provide expert facial rejuvenation care and CoolSculpting services. I previously provided patient care and aesthetic services in my private practice in eastern Illinois. I decided to bring her expert knowledge of healthcare and business to ENT & Sleep Medicine in 2012 and was vital to the inception of Arya Medical Spa in 2016. I truly find great pleasure in helping all of my patients to look and feel their best.
Mary Buettner is a native of Waterloo, Illinois. A graduate of Washington University and Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, she has been an attorney for more than twenty-five years. She worked as an in-house counsel for large national corporations based in St. Louis for nearly ten years before establishing her private practice in Waterloo in 1996. Licensed in both Illinois and Missouri, she practices in the areas of business, governmental, real estate, and estate planning law. She is a frequent speaker on estate planning matters.
A New Athens native, Dawn Burris now lives in Waterloo. She has worked as a childcare professional for the last 25 years.
As a working mom, she understands how difficult it can be to juggle all the responsibilities of a home life and a career. She decided to start Up & At ‘Em Household Services with her daughter, Cori, as a way to hep others navigate their busy lives and alleviate some of the daily stress that comes with today’s hectic lifestyle.
“I believe our business is different because we work from the heart,” Dawn said. “We enjoy helping others and care that the job we do makes our customers happy and relieved.”
Dawn is infant, child and adult CPR certified and trained in basic first aid.

Val has been in newspaper sales for over 30 years. When she is not working with clients to accommodate their advertising budgets, she loves spending time with her five grandkids.
Val also owns The Old Farmhouse Waterloo Il. Selling pumpkins and Christmas trees when the season is in.

Clifftop is an acronym representing Conserving Lands In Farm, Forest, Talus Or Prairie. Clifftop was founded in 2006 and is a grassroots, no-frills, bare-bones nonprofit nonpartisan organization of volunteers. We work with county, state, federal and non-governmental agencies and partner landowners and area residents with technical, educational and financial resources to slow or stem the threats to our bluff lands and keep them productive and beautiful.
We promote the preservation, protection and conservation of the bluff corridor through:
